Two vacancies have arisen within our company for apprentice printers to join our team. Their role will involve working to improve press efficiency and supporting printers in their day to day duties. The role will also provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience of print processes, print discipline and how to produce high quality products whilst studying for a recognised Print qualification.

Key accountabilities include;

• Ensuring to maintain close working relationships with colleagues
• Commitment to a safe working environment and compliance with Health and Safety practices is essential. You must ensure that you work in a safe manner and follow Health and Safety procedures.
• Work to a high standard of cleanliness and take a proactive approach to develop a clean world class environment.

       Knowledge, skills and experience include;

• National 4 English or equivalent
• Willing to study towards Print qualifications
• Engagement with functional/practical skills assessments

The ideal candidates will demonstrate the following behaviours:

This position requires the holder to show initiative and an ability to learn basic print skills. It is essential that they adopt a listen and learn approach to their work. Following instructions from senior members of staff is key to learning and ensuring that knowledge is absorbed, grown and developed to enable the highest print skills in the industry. The company expects the job holder to take responsibility for their actions and ensure that they adhere to company policies and procedures. A flexible attitude is required to carry out the variety of tasks contained in this job specification.
